RAMADAN AND EID DÉCOR IDEAS

Ramadan is a joyful time, and your home décor should reflect the light, life, and energy of this beautiful time. As well as creating serene spaces where you can spend some time in quiet contemplation, your Ramadan and Eid décor should also make your home feel open and welcoming. After all, this is a time for embracing family and friends with generosity and love.

At CB2, we wanted to celebrate Ramadan and Eid with a very special collection of décor ideas, so working with our Designer Collective partners, we’ve put together some ideas to make your Ramadan one to remember.

Bring in the light

Lanterns are a traditional element of Ramadan and Eid décor; you can add even more sophisticated lighting options with floor and table lamps, stunning chandelier and pendant lights, or the soft glow of candles. Don't forget to illuminate your outdoor space, too – as the weather warms up, many Eid celebrations take place outdoors. Lanterns and oil lamps that can also add a subtle fragrance of citrus to keep the mosquitoes away are a perfect addition to an outdoor Iftar tablescape.

Comfy cushions and throws

Bring a little burst of colour into your home this Ramadan. Cushions and throws are an easy and quick way to refresh your décor without having to break out the paint brushes. Choose colours that connect with Holy Month such as rich blues and greens to represent the spiritual aspect of Ramadan, accented with gold and silver to symbolise prosperity and generosity.

Reconnect with the natural world

Ramadan is an ideal opportunity to add a little natural beauty into your home. Elegant planters that bring the outside in while adding some contemporary elegance perfectly combine to create a quiet place filled with greenery. And if you’re one of those people who just can’t seem to keep plants alive, why not go for realistic-looking faux plants instead?

Décor for entertaining

During Ramadan, especially at Eid, we throw our doors open and welcome friends and family into our homes. If you're hosting an Iftar gathering or a celebratory feast, create a tablescape that connects your diners to the key principles of Ramadan.

Tablescaping is a beautiful way to embellish a meal with a dynamic centrepiece, elegant table runners, placemats and linen, and high-quality dinnerware for that meal to remember. Look for décor that includes the crescent moon and stars for a bright and cheerful touch that still embraces one of Ramadan's most potent and emotive symbols.

Add extra touches, such as bowls filled with sweet, succulent dates or a marble party tower filled with irresistible sweetmeats, and the celebrations can begin.

A private place for contemplation

While embracing the celebratory elements of Ramadan is important, we can't forget what this time truly represents – a chance to reconnect with our spiritual side. Create a special space where you can focus on the contemplative aspect of Holy Month with simplicity as your core design element. Include lanterns, classic calligraphy decorations, candles, and soft fragrances to create an oasis of calmness and serenity in a busy world.
